Symbiant was established in June 1999 and quickly become one of Europe's foremost providers of ebusiness solutions. We were one of the very first companies to develop web based software solutions and was the first to develop a web based risk management solution. In 2000 we became a founding partner in Worldpay which was eventually taken over by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 2002 we started to develop web based data management solutions for businesses and banks and also won the contract to develop software for KPMG. One of the products we developed was called K Tracker, an action tracking solution for audit actions.
In 2004 we launched easyGen, this ground breaking software was a world first, and was a true DIY solution that allowed non programmers to create their own data aware, dynamic web sites. It has won many industry awards and in 2005 was the best selling software in its class, even outselling Microsoft's nearest equivalent.
In 2004 we took ownership of K Tracker from KPMG and we replaced with a better and more powerful tool called Symbiant Tracker. We also started to develop Symbiant Risk Suite due to the increasing requests we were receiving from our clients.
In December 2005 we launched Symbiant Tracker. Symbiant Tracker has been constantly developed since its launch, adding new functions and features as required and requested by our clients. However it has still managed to maintain its simplicity and it the only thoroughbred audit action tracking solution on the market. Very powerful, feature rich but sleek and easy to use. It is still recognised as the Worldʼs premier Tracking tool and has a very impressive user list.
We launched the Symbiant Risk Suite in July 2006 to a very eager audience. The Risk Suite is a total risk management solution and covers everything from identifying risks to implementing controls. Like Tracker it is flexible and can quickly be changed to suit the exact requirements of the user, which includes converting to another language. When we launched Risk Suite it was the most comprehensive risk management solution available and selected by the ICAEW as their risk solution. The risk suite now in version 3 and has built in Training videos for on the job training.
In 2006 Europeʼs largest professional accountancy body, The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) endorse Symbiant Risk Suite and Tracker. This is the first and only time the institute have endorsed any product.
In 2011 Gartner who are the worldʼs leading information technology research and advisory company were so impressed with our Software they made us a cool vendor. They recognised how the Symbiant Risk Suite and Symbiant Tracker facilitate collaboration which is an essential part of successful risk management. They were also very impressed with our low pricing by saying our software was “extraordinarily inexpensive”.
